The Final URS Meeting took place from 5th to 7th February 2025 in Potsdam, bringing together 52 participants of the URS research cluster coming from the scientific community across Germany, the UK, and the hosting institution, BGE. The event provided a platform for in-depth discussions on the latest findings from the 6 participating projects of the URS-cluster and their relevance to the ongoing site selection process in Germany. |

The meeting featured presentations from all six URS projects, each highlighting recent research progress, published and planned publications, and potential applications of their results in the site selection process. Updates from BGE on the current status of site selection and an overview of the cluster's closure plans in the form of an epilogue paper and the URS-wiki project website further enriched the discussions. A key highlight of the event was the keynote speech by Paul Marschall from NAGRA, providing valuable insights into international approaches to site selection and important learning outcomes from the Swiss site-selection. The event also featured an entertaining networking dinner at the Biosphere in Potsdam, offering participants a relaxed setting for further exchange. |
